DR. DAVID MORRIS
Founder
His forte is designing improved scientific vetting screening instruments for use in countries where more traditional vetting procedures do not work so well. His firm, Morris and McDaniel, has worked with the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Department of Defense in establishing early screening programs to increase the effectiveness of vetting candidates seeking law enforcement and security positions, as well as general workforce jobs. He developed and implemented the programs used to select entry level candidates in Iraq for four years. He spent three years on the ground in Iraq in order to assure the effectiveness of the program. The program was translated into multiple languages and proved to be effective in addressing the issues facing the country. Morris and McDaniel is considered to be the premier firm for addressing the human element in security and in creating improved personnel selection in all jobs. Dr. Morris has advised and established hiring and promotional programs for some of the largest Police Departments in the U.S. Dr. Morris' work in this area has spanned over thirty years and includes work in the following industries: Oil and Gas, Hospitality, Financial, Transportation, Healthcare, Government Security, and Police Services. His research and real world experience clearly shows that strategically designed screening procedures can quickly, effectively, and inexpensively screen candidates for security positions and for non-secure positions alike at an early stage, before more extensive investments in the candidate are made by the employer.
Dr. Morris has made presentations on good personnel assessments to strengthen organizations with an emphasis on emergency services, first responders, law enforcement, and security sensitive organizations to professional conferences such as the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the International Congress on Assessment Center Methods, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the FBI National Academy, SMU Dedman School of Law, and to professional audiences throughout the United States, Iraq, Bhutan, Singapore, Korea, Indonesia, England, Brazil, and Russia.
